To be honest, we didn’t set out to create some big blog. It started with a simple habit—watching movies, overthinking them, and then rambling about them in group chats. Somewhere along the line, we thought, why not put these thoughts out there?

So here we are. https://rottentomatoes.blog/ is a space where movie lovers can slow down and just talk film—without worrying about sounding “right” or using all the correct buzzwords. This blog isn’t about scoring everything out of 10 or making bold claims like “this is the best movie of the year.” Sometimes we just want to say: “I think I liked it, but I’m not even sure why.” That’s valid too.

Movie Reviews – Honest ones. Some are short, others ramble a bit. We try to keep spoilers out unless we really have to talk about that twist.

Lists & Recommendations – Not just “Top 10 Sci-Fi Films,” but more personal picks too. Like “Films That Hit Different After Midnight.”

Random Thoughts – Ever watch a movie and get stuck on one scene? We’ve written entire posts about things like that. It’s not always structured—but it’s real.

News That Matters – No clickbait. Just news we, as fans, actually care about: casting announcements, trailers that gave us chills, small festival films making waves.

Why This Blog?

We didn’t find a site that matched the way we actually talk about movies. A lot of blogs feel too curated, too clean. But movies are messy. Emotional. Sometimes weird. That’s what we wanted to reflect.

Also, we just… love talking about films. Whether it’s a deep indie or a cheesy blockbuster—we’ll probably write about it either way. Not every post will be perfectly argued or perfectly edited, and that’s kind of the point. It’s a blog, not a textbook.
